Song Genre & Playlist Recommendations

Genre: God’s Hammer is an anthem type song. It could be classified as “Christian Crunk” or “Christian Hip Hop” (#CHH). If I were to try to box this song in with current music in circulation, it doesn’t really fit anywhere, I call this “Adrenaline Music“. This is an expression of Holy Fire.

Playlists: God’s Hammer is a high energy song.

God’s Hammer – The Creation Process

I wrote God’s Hammer a couple of months ago and was inspired by God through the story of Moses. I was listening to a preacher on the radio who gave a sermon specifically on the life of the Rod of God. He focused on the tool Moses used in his life to not only survive and feed his family but eventually a tool he used to save others once God blessed it.

Moses was a shepherd for decades before he claimed God’s Staff, also known today as the Rod of God. The basic premise of this song is based off of the eternal change that occurred when Moses dropped ‘his staff’ as instructed by God and then picked it up, as instructed by God, and from that moment on, the staff itself, became known as the Rod of God, or God’s Staff. No longer would Moses’ staff be used to simple herd livestock, but it would be used to bring a much more important type of sheep home.

This particular part of the story of Moses represents to me, the work we do for ourselves ending and becoming something more as we begin to live for God. We are all blessed with gifts from God when we are born. Those gifts are eternal. They cannot be taken away, God gave them to us out of love. We can choose to use them to work for money and fame, for selfish purposes – or we can give them back to God and allow His Will to work through us, and build the Kingdom.

In my case, my passion for music ended when I was about 21 years old. I gave up on music recognizing my talent but also my perception of the world needed to grow before I could confidently present music the way I knew I should. I understood the lasting impact words and music can have on people and knew I needed to become a much wiser person if I wanted to be proud of what I was doing with my music. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever be ready to make music again, but I was eager to grow as a person. As the years passed, one day came when God began to work true miracles in my life. I wondered if I was ready, and so I began writing. God immediately reinforced my decisions and poured out His Spirit upon me. I wrote relentlessly and God continued to teach me and inspire me throughout the process.

This song was one of the first I wrote, and it’s about the tool of the trade here in the music industry, the microphone. I wanted to effectively demonstrate the microphone as I use it has now become a vessel for God’s work. Due to the relevance of the way I returned to music through God’s mercy, feeding my soul the joy and passion I needed to gain the confidence necessary – to pick the mic back up. As I continue making music today and on into the future – I will continue to give all praise and glory to God, giving Him the credit as He is responsible for my creating my passion, giving me the strength to build my craft and then gifting me the inspiration and discernment I need to keep writing effectively by focusing on His message.

I would like all who listen to know, I don’t do this for myself anymore, and to know that I recognize my work is now God’s work. I take that into account every time I pick up the microphone as my listeners should when they listen.

God is truly the ghost writer behind my work and He continues to amaze me with His Words as they become flesh once again through my art.

May God Be With You All!

Chris

God’s Hammer Lyrics

Written by Christopher Kemmett
8/6/23 1:47 a.m.

(Chorus)(2x)
This ain't no mic
This God's Hammer
And they gon' hear me all the way to Montana
Dropped my mic
Picked up God's Hammer
Slammed it in Florida
Cracked Alabama

(Verse 1)
This ain't no microphone this God's hammer
And I've been sent to take the souls of the satanic
See the devil's running rampant like a pandemic
I don't need to curse ya'll my God will damn it
I'm about to nail Santa mail him God's hammer
Tell them kids Santa's fake
Tell them thank nana
Tell them how the easter bunny's
Pagan propaganda
And we don't need to sugar coat it
We need God's manna

(Chorus)(2x)
This ain't no mic
This God's Hammer
And they gon' hear me all the way to Montana
Dropped my mic
Picked up God's Hammer
Slammed it in Florida
Cracked Alabama

(Verse 2)
Snatch the serpent by the tail
Got the rod of God
Dropped my mic and went to hell
Had to borrow God's
See today you got to pray
Cuz tomorrow's not
Promised to a soul
And you don't want your soul to rot
God's calling
Chop Chop
This the tomahawk
I'm riding with the Rock
He got that almanac
Not the Anunnaki
The God of Enoch
Knock Knock Knock
Jesus walks

(Chorus)(2x)
This ain't no mic
This God's Hammer
And they gon' hear me all the way to Montana
Dropped my mic
Picked up God's Hammer
Slammed it in Florida
Cracked Alabama

(Verse 3)
Its time to build
And I got God's hammer
He says you'll Know them by their fruits
Well its all bananas
I'm drinking from that well
Got that living water
Sinners serving drinks in hell
But I got bigger orders
See I got God's hammer
And now I'm building borders
And every day it feels like forty nights in the forest
Lord forgive me for my sins
You died and did it for us
Sent me this slammer
With a hammer for the chorus
