MrKemmett.com will now be used for hosting my development projects, tracking, releasing the apps and tools I develop for public use and other purposes, as well as a place where I will review different technologies I believe in or do not.
Current Projects
- Quick Receipt Generator for contractors
- Labor Tracker for business owners
- …let’s keep it to 2 for now!
I’ll release them here as they become functional and ready for public consumption.
A little history…
I learned to develop front end user interfaces, websites, apps when I began a journey into the news industry back in 2015. I have a more in depth article published about this on my “parked” news website, NextUpNews.com – where I almost relived that journey back in 2020, but didn’t…
I have always been a hobbyist in the development world to some degree since I first started coding and almost picked it up full time back in 2020. I even launched my own Business Development Company, called BusinessDeveloper.App. Unfortunately, I abandoned that website and endeavor after about a year; I had too many irons in the fire back then. Even worse, my entire brand, BDA (Business Developer App) was completely stolen by some international criminal, then for the following 3 years my content was hosted in almost identical form as it was when I was operating the website, except there was a phantom behind the keyboard. I guess I can take that as a compliment. I must have did something right with the site. I did have well over 100 technology posts published of all types and will be reposting some of the content that I feel is valuable and resourceful.
In fact, several websites I ran and operated and abandoned have been picked up by the international web investment community, vultures, etc… or just hoarded, resold and listed for sale as premium domains. Goes to show you the value of development work, it lasts, even when you step away from the development, the work lives on in some valuable form usually. So take it from me, if you focus time and energy into a project online, maybe sell it before you completely abandon it, or someone else will. Personally, I’m going to just focus on trying to keep the project count to a minimum. Noone should actively build 10+ online brands at the same time…2 or 3 is fine or 5 at the most… ๐
What is the purpose of this new content?
Mostly, I will be adding technology and development content to MrKemmett.com because it is a part of who I am, and what better place to do just that. I like having a repository of resources and tools, unlike a bookmark or a website someone else hosts, when you have your own tools, you can curtail their function to your specific use case, and maybe even make some money if its unique enough and functionally sound.
Also, I enjoy the development process. So, if you need help developing a website, app, tool or just need some advice on how best to implement a technology online or into your business, I would be happy to help. I do enjoy the process, problem solving and building new things from nothing is a thrill to me, and I look forward to developing new tools and publishing fresh content in the days, weeks and months to come.
I have been updating my moving company website, https://moving.furniture, and have been inspired once again to continue developing. Something there just happened to spark some inspiration in me again.
See you all soon,
Chris
